Propos un Garçon unearths adolescence and sexual awakening. Based on Seito Sakakibara, who in 1997 was convicted of murdering his primary schoolmates in Kobe, Japan, the performance, installation and collage works visualize his obsession with death and masturbation as shared in his recently published memoir and collection of self portraits available on his website.

The live action is presented in an installation of sand attached with cut out paper drawings and a functional electronic fan. It is also accompanied by an eerie looping of 砂の惑星, a 1990s song by Matsutoya Yumi which arguably became the pivotal role of Sakakibara’s sin as well as contrasted with Kagamine Len's version of くるみ☆ぽんちお which is sexually kawaii.
