Moonbath is adapted from the history of Mooncake Festival or Mid-Autumn Festival.
The works started with an interest on sunbathing and how within the popular culture, it has indirectly turned into a 'sport'. People wear swimming trunks and suits and visit the beach or pools, simply to sunbath.
The idea involved into an imaginary sport of moonbathing, inspired by the artist's participation in sexual health works where he was working with male sex workers from China. Coincided with the Mid-Autumn Festival, also know as the Moon Festival, the works then transformed into an exploration of the possible antonym of sunbath, moonbath.
